Since graduating from Moorhead State University in Moorhead, Minnesota in 1973, Gary Doll knew he someday wanted to own and run his own business. What it would be or where it was located was wide open in his mind. Within 6 years, Gary was running his own business in his hometown of Perham, Minnesota.
His sportswear business began in 1983 when he purchased a local t-shirt shop that did mostly heat pressing on garments. Gary soon realized there was more need for customization and personalization of garments. There were family reunions, weddings, races and the new Perham International Turtle Races that all contributed to a custom screen-printing business.
In 1990, Gary purchased an existing screen-printing business and from that time on, he knew his future. Schools, resorts and industry all needed his services.
By 1997 the requests for embroidered products was steadily increasing so embroidery was added to the line. The sales staff increased, as did the demand for products.
The year 2000 marked the beginning of Greenspire Graphics, as it is known today. At this point, a franchise was obtained through Adventures in Advertising out of Boston, MA. There were 500 franchises located throughout the United States at that time. As of 2012 we source and sell promotional products direct from companies to our customers.
Continued growth spurred the expansion of Greenspire Graphics. In 2001 the move was made to a brand new 10,000 square foot building on the south side of Perham. Since Perham is located in a county of over 1000 lakes but a population of only 2700, the sales area was greatly expanded. In 2007 a move back into the downtown area was made to better serve our retail customers.
Greenspire now has 5 sales associates located in the upper Midwest. The current product line of embroidery, screen-printing and promotional products enables the sales staff to meet the needs of all businesses and industry no matter what the size. No client is too big or too small for the Greenspire staff to offer the customer service everyone deserves. We currently have our sales representatives covering all or parts of North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin and Michigan.
